Friends

  Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The crisp air returns and so do the students. Savannah College of Art and Design is our local art college located right here within  the historic blocks of Savannah. The city comes alive with their arrival. It's a very exciting time. Here at the shop we begin receiving our new fall/winter yarns and with each box comes an anticipation of wonderful people and creations to come. Tools of the Trade

Living in a tourist town has allowed me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. One day a well tailored lady ran into the shop clutching a ball of bright purple/orange yarn. She then  presented me with two straws. Dangling between the straws was this very beautiful hand dyed yarn. She had been stuck at the airport and in desperation used two drink straws to begin her project. Laurie Lovell Art Show

We recently ventured to Beaufort, SC to see the opening of Lovell/Male Studio located in the ARTworks Center on Boundry Street. What a lovely display of fiber art. The exhibit encourages you to consider aspects of perception beyond the material plane. Their fine art work is an exploration of applied pattern and texture.
