Holiday Doodle Stocking Kit

This pattern  by Jamie Lomax uses mix-and-match micro charts to allow the knitter to design their own holiday stocking. Modular instructions include flexible options for the upper ribbing, length, and width of the finished stocking.

Inspired by the festive motifs in holiday sweaters, Christmas wrapping, and Starbucks cups, all of the charts are designed to work together to create something completely unique, within an easy-to-follow structure. Use these charts alone, or add in any other charts from the expanded Doodle Series!

How It’s Worked: This pattern is worked in the round, from the top down. It begins with a ribbed cuff, then a section of “doodle” color work, then a mock short row heel, before finishing with similar color work along the foot, and a traditional sock toe, closed with a Kitchener stitch graft. You are the artist. Decide which pattern you prefer and knit it.
